In the 1970's, John Stollenwerk was hired as the company's new sales representative in Europe. In the 1980's, Stollenwerk bought the company. Since then, Allen-Edmonds has grown rapidly.

There are factories in Port Washington, Wisconsin and Lewiston, Maine. Allen-Edmonds today still considers making shoes in the USA an art form.
